Dual diagnosis occurs when mental health and addiction intersect — and no matter which came first, it necessitates treatment. We’re aware that untreated mental health disorders can lead to substance use for comfort or an escape, and how addiction also commonly leads to adverse psychological symptoms. Our expert team understands this complex interplay, and provides integrated care to promote a lasting physical and mental recovery.

Treatment for substance use typically starts with detoxification, before moving onto inpatient or outpatient rehab. Most people then move to an active Alumni program to stay connected with others in the community and support long-term recovery.

Substance Addiction
There are many types of substance use disorders, but they all have one thing in common: the need for treatment. Whether it’s a severe addiction to alcohol or a lighter psychological addiction to marijuana, addiction can easily disrupt daily life, and we’re here to help you manage.
Alcohol Addiction
Alcohol addiction, also known as alcoholism, is a chronic disease characterized by an inability to control alcohol consumption despite negative consequences. It often leads to physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms when use is reduced or stopped.
Opioid Addiction
Opioid addiction involves the misuse of prescription painkillers (i.e. oxycodone, hydrocodone, fentanyl) or illicit opioids (i.e. heroin). Individuals become dependent on these drugs, experiencing cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Meth Addiction
Methamphetamine addiction results from the use of meth, a powerful stimulant. It leads to intense euphoria, increased energy, and severe health risks, including cardiovascular problems and dental decay.
Cocaine Addiction
Cocaine addiction stems from constant use, and causes intense highs followed by crashes. If left untreated, continued use can lead to serious health complications.
Marijuana Addiction
Marijuana addiction refers to dependence on cannabis. While less severe than some other addictions, it can still impact daily life and mental health.
Prescription Drug Addiction
Prescription drug addiction involves the misuse of medications like opioids, sedatives, or stimulants. It often starts with legitimate medical use, before escalating into dependency.
Synthetic Drug Addiction
Synthetic drugs such as synthetic cannabinoids (“spice”) or bath salts are chemically designed to mimic other substances, and can cause unpredictable effects and addiction.
Stimulant Addiction
Stimulant addiction includes misuse of drugs like amphetamines, cocaine, or meth. These substances increase alertness and energy, but can lead to serious health issues.
Xanax Addiction
Xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety, and dependence can result in withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
Fentanyl Addiction
Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid responsible for many overdose deaths, with addiction posing life-threatening risks.
Inhalant Addiction
Inhalant addiction involves inhaling volatile substances (like glue, paint, or aerosols) to achieve a high, and poses serious health risks.
